President Rodrigo Duterte will soon have his own national TV show called Mula sa Masa, Para sa Masa.
A teaser for the show was posted Wednesday on the Facebook page of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCO).
Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said in a text message that the show has no exact airing date yet, but said it will be “very soon”.
According to the post, the show will be aired on government-owned People’s Television (PTV-4).
“The aim is to communicate the policies of the Duterte administration to the masses. Straight from the President himself,” Andanar said.
The show took off from then-mayor Duterte’s local TV show in Davao entitled Gikan Sa Masa, Para Sa Masa, which aired every Sunday. Duterte himself co-hosted the show.
In Gikan sa Masa, Para Sa Masa, Duterte addressed the people of Davao and talked about the local government’s programs and policies. He also read out citizen complaints and dropped names of people suspected to be involved in the drug trade.
On Sunday Vice President Leni Robredo also launched the pilot episode of her one-hour public radio show, entitled BISErbisyong Leni.
